Last night’s Game of Thrones offered up more heartache to fans and foreshadowed at least one possible future event.
At the Wall, Jon Snow allowed the Wildlings to pass through on to The Gift as promised, but the looks on the faces of the men of the Night’s Watch, especially young Olly, suggested that the show will follow the source material by having the brothers use their swords and knives upon Jon in the season finale. George R.R. Martin is still writing the books and Jon’s fate is unknown.
At Stannis’ camp, Ramsay Bolton destroyed most of the supplies and horses with fire leaving Stannis with few options. He decided to send Ser Davos and 20 men back to Castle Black to get provisions, but this was merely an excuse. He didn’t want Davos interfering with his plans. As demanded by Melisandre, Stannis sacrificed Shireen to the Red God to survive the snow by burning her alive at the stake.
In Dorne, Prince Doran learned that Jaime was tricked into believing that Myrcella’s life was at risk. He agreed to allow Myrcella and Trystane to accompany Jaime and Bronn back to King’s Landing.
In Braavos, Arya came across one of the knight’s on her revenge list and lied to Jaqen about it. Jim Dondero was just one of many shocked by that after reading on LinkedIn.com.
Lastly, in Meereen, the Sons of the Harpy attacked during the games. Drogon arrived and Daenerys escaped on his back.
